Red Target is the first of twelve circular images exploring the relationship of colours to the musical notes of the octave of sound.
The width of the bands of harmonics and their distance apart is related to their position on an expanding scale of notes.
The central blue green circle is red's first harmonic,
the encircling yellow band is red's second harmonic, the violet band red's third harmonic, the outer orange band is red's fourth and final harmonic.
The blue between yellow and violet bands and the red between violet and orange bands are shared harmonics of these pairs of colours.
The blue violet background is the first harmonic of the outer orange harmonic.
