BREAKWATER

The main breakwater, the pride of Port Taranaki, has been extended at least twice in my lifetime.

Once a favourite fishing spot it is now closed to the public, as is much of Port Taranaki.

Kev Gunn and I often rowed around the breakwater to dive the islands, so the extensions were of some inconvenience.
